Measuring just 48” by 12” the layout is able to afford an effective 12’ run by using a zig-zag design. Operating potential has been improved by increasing the right-hand yard from the original three sidings to five. A passing loop has been added to “Anglicise” the layout. Despite only being 1ft deep the setup is suprisingly stable when pushed or nudged. Track Laying and Junction motors installed (indicated by the card rectangles under each point covering the hole) Trackwork complete A look at the middle board join and the shoddy temporary wiring Temporary wiring to test the DCC setup (A first for me) The unit boxed up for storage between work and displaying With backscene boards in place the layout is much more protected when boxed up. Work on the final wiring begins. Also visible are the WoodLoC leg sockets. January 24th Final wiring style, much neater!
